April TBR+ Literary Queen Challenge
Alright so I think I'm starting to read a little bit faster than I used to and I'm getting better at reading not just at work and on commercial breaks- I feel like I can read when I wake up and I can read before bed... SO I'm kind of going to challenge myself this month.
So originally I wanted to read 100 pages a day... and I wanted to do it about 5 times a week... now I think I want to start a little smaller and make sure I read for at least an hour a day... every day. And I can read 50+ pages a day most likely... so I might do that. I'm going to start going to reading as close to 100 pages as I can... I'm not really going to worry about the page count I just want to make sure I read a lot. Yesterday I was 11 pages away... I don't want to beat myself up over it.
Anyway I'm currently reading 2 books... so let's talk about those first!
I started reading Daughter of The Moon Goddess and I was having trouble reading it because fantasy is a bit hard for me to get into... at least when it starts. I decided to listen to this on Hooplah along with reading along with it and I really like that. I think I'm more interested in this part of the book to begin with- but the audiobook is also very good. It's also nice because this book has a lot of Chinese words and names and I can hear the pronunciation in the audio versions. I really really like this book so far!
Because im reading and listening to this book- I haven't been able to bring the book along with me... which is probably a good thing because this is a huge book with a beautiful cover I don't want to mess up. So that is why I'm also reading my second book which is Hothouse Flower by Krista and Becca Ritchie. I am surprised by how much I LOVE Daisy and Ryke. I loved Daisy from the books but I didn't know how I'd feel about her relationship with Ryke... but I really like it a lot!
Now for the rest of the month... I'm honestly not sure AT ALL. I kind of want to finish up the Addicted Series BUT I would also like to read some different books so that I'm not reading too many similar things in a row...
I think I have a non fiction book about octopus that I might want to read soon because I'm really into animals lately and I haven't read a non fiction that isn't a biography or memoir in a while. I also think it might be a good time to read a historical fiction or something based on mythology because I haven't read those in a while... and I have some James Bond books I think I want to read and this month might be a good month to try it because I want to read something a little more different.
I also recently bought some thrillers that are supposed to be really good. I have The Quiet Tenant by Clemence Michallon and The One by John Marrs. I could go for a really mind blowing thriller!
That's everything! Hope you guys like this!
Bye!
