22 Things I’m Thankful for

For Thanksgiving 2022 I think I'm going to do a little post kind of about what I'm thankful for. Obviously Friends, family, my dog, my coworkers, my job and of corse my boyfriend are the things I'm most thankful for... but I'm going to make this maybe more of a favorites list and more with stories...

1)I'm Glad my Boyfriend Watched The Saw Movies before I Did

Okay... this is probably the worst and most shallow thing to start out with- but this is what we're getting at with this list. I love horror movies but Saw didn't seem so much as a horror movie to me as it was a "torture porn" and I expected it to be super gorey with no plot. It's not that. It's like a horror movie soap opera and I love that.

2) I'm glad that I'm a Retail Nerd

So I feel like even if you work in retail for a little bit... you start to get the feel for things and it can be kind of nerdy... and it's actually kind of fun. I think specifically at the store I work at... it's funny. You REALLY get to know how to do your job and I've been working for a long time so... idk it gets me through the day and I get a paycheck on Friday. I like that everyone I work with is kind of a retail nerd too and know what they're doing and can joke about being a retail nerd. It's a good store to work and it's fun.

3) I'm glad I've been having some better ideas for this blog lately

I feel like it's been easier for me to just open this app and write something. I've been trying to post just about daily and I really enjoy it!

4) Cranberry Sprite

I finally found this after years of searching... and it's good! It's hard to find but worth picking up.

5) I'm glad I got the entire Bond Movie set

My boyfriend and I decided to split buying the boxed set of James Bond movies and we finally watched all of them this year... and that was so fun to watch such an iconic series. I think I'm going to have to do a post on some of my favorite moments from that soon. This was a fun watch.

6) Comfy Clothes, warm socks and pajamas

My favorite things ever. When I had Covid I didn't change from pajamas for a week... it made things a bit better.

7) New Jersey has really really good food

I'm always happy I live in New Jersey when I eat pizza that's not from a chain. I think depending on where you live- chain pizza might be the best option... In New Jersey there are so many better options lol.

8) I'm Seeing Beetlejuice in a few weeks!

This I'm really excited for! My boyfriend and I are seeing Beetlejuice in a couple weeks! I'm so excited to go to New York at Christmastime and see this musical that I'm so excited about! I think it'll be really good. I'm really excited.

9) The Fact that I'm Bossy but Calm

At work... I can be bossy when I want to be and very direct... but I can also calmly say something about it. I think it's a good thing.

10) Warm Beverages

Coffee, Hot Chocolate and Tea are just so good.

11) Black Friday deals

I got some good deals at Walmart today- and I'm writing this the Sunday before thanksgiving so... I'm excited about that.

12) When people work from home

It's nice when my dad works from home or my boyfriend works from home. Even if I'm not home that day- I know my boyfriend is more relaxed at home and my mom will be happy to have my dad there.

13) Nice Lyft Drivers

I've had some nice Lyft drivers- I've had some weird Lyft drivers and... really I'm appreciative of all of them but the nice Lyft drivers are very nice. It's just interesting that people love driving and they love people and they have a good time making that their job.

14) food combos that just work.

I wonder who was like "yeah peanut butter and chocolate let's try it!" Or "huh I wonder what everything would taste like on a bagel." Good for those people.

15) The fact that I only have a few more things on this list...

Seriously 22 is a lot when I can't specifically mention the easy stuff.

16) Good Books

I've been loving reading lately. Emily Henry has been my favorite author... but I've enjoyed a lot of books. I've slowed down a bit but I love reading.

17) squishmallows

So I love squishmallows. I used to have a hard time going to sleep cause idk what to do with my arms... not so much with Squishmallows.

18) Doordash

So besides actually using doordash to order food a lot- I like looking at menus and offerings on there. Do you know what's on the Wendy's breakfast menu? Not really but I could find it soon...just by looking. Do I get Wendy's breakfast? Not often but I do like knowing.

19) Music

So... I heard an Electric Light Orchestra song the other day and now I want to listen to more of them... I also got the Billie Eillish record and the Minions Rise of Gru record from Walmart.

20) Fun Purses and backpacks

Yeah I have a purse problem and I have too many... I just got a McDonald's Happy Meal bag... I love it!

21) This blog

It's nice to just have an outlet to write whatever I want.

22) This wasn't a bad year, but I'm excited for 2023

So it's not new years but since it's 22 for 2022... I'm going to just say I'm pretty excited for 2023. No year is a bad year- but also I got Covid on my birthday this year so... hopefully next year I won't.
