2021 Favorites: 21 Beauty Favorites

I tried a lot of makeup this year... and I really liked a lot of it! I have a lot of beauty products... not necessarily all makeup!

1) Lizzie McGuire Colourpop Palette-

This was the Surprise hit of 2021. At least I think I got it in 2021… I wasn’t even going to buy this… but I started rewatching Lizzie McGuire and the Lizzie McGuire movie a lot around the time it came out… and it was great!!! I kind of always use the same shadows and I feel like it’s been a while since ive used this… but honestly this is my favorite colourpop palette. I love it!

2) Charlotte Tilbury Smokey Eyes Forever Palette-

This is probably the fanciest palette I got and I got it as a treat for myself for my 30th birthday. It’s a really nice palette, very easy to use- it’s all grouped together in 3 shadows for different looks- and of corse you could play around within those looks. It’s great!

3) Juvia's Place Primer-

The I Prep, I Prime eye primer is really good. It’s a little watery sometimes and… easy to squeeze too much out of it… so that’s a down side. Shade 2 works a little better than Shade 1- but overall really a good primer and I was happy because my Nars primer wasn’t really doing it for me anymore.

4) Ulta Sculpt and Glow 3-in-1 Palette-

This is such a pretty face palette that you can use very quickly for an all in one face look. I have 2 shades… I know one shade is Santorini Sun- I forget the other shade… but overall these are really good and easy to use.

5) Replica Coffee Break Perfume-

Another 30th Birthday Treat for myself! This smells really nice and it lasts a long time. It smells like Coffee and it’s awesome!

6) Pat McGrath Lipstick-

This I got in a Black Owned Beauty Favorites from Sephora- which was a favorite in itself… theres a lot of really good stuff I got from that collection. I should talk about it more but I didn’t want to open all the products at once and I don’t know if its still available. I guess the products are all available still though. The formula of this is really great, the color is really pretty and it just feels luxe.

7) Kneipp Arnica Bath Products-

This… changed my life lol. I work retail, I usually have longer than 8 hour shifts and soaking in this at night after work… just feels awesome. The Epsom Salts are my #1 favorite but the Bath Oil feels great with it too. And the Lotion is good too- it has a cooling effect that feels really good on anything that’s sore. I don’t love the smell of the bath salts… the oil and lotion don’t smell bad though. Its just a good product.

8) Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette-

I kind of forgot about this one- but the shades are really good and it’s easy to use and pigmented… I need to use this a little more because it’s so good. I just loved the way the shades looked and a lot of people were talking about it!

9) Tarte Sugar Rush Skin Treat-

This is such a nice product! The new Mousse formula one just feels awesome, it’s nice and light- I wore it a lot during the summer… I took it with me when I went on vacation and I didnt get sunburnt… it’s great!

10) Catrice True Skin Hyrdrating Foundation-

Its been a while since I’ve used this too… and I don’t think Ulta is carrying Catrice anymore… but overall This is really a nice foundation and I totally loved it this year!

11) No 7 Airbrush Away Tinted Skin Perfecter-

This is a really good foundation base. It perfects the skin and makes foundation look so smooth. I’ve used this with a powder foundation too on a no makeup makeup day… it was great!

12) PTR Skincare-

I got a Peter Thomas Roth Skincare kit from the store I work at for a really good price… it definitely feels good on my skin. I love the cleanser, the scrub and the Hylaronic Acid products are really good. I don’t know that it’s anything i feel like I need to repurchase… but I would get something else with Hyalaronic acid in it. Possibly from The Ordinary.

13) Onyx Bathhouse Foaming Body Scrub-

This is a really nice scrub. It makes my legs feel really nice and smooth… and it just makes shaving feel really nice. It foams up and then you can just rinse it and shave. It’s great!

14) Not Your Mother's Curl Talk Products-

I have naturally curly hair and these products are a really nice affordable way to increase your curls and make your hair look a little more curly and it makes your curls last longer.

15) Replica By The Fireplace perfume-

I need a full size of this perfume! The mini size I have is almost gone! It’s a perfect winter perfume because it smells like a nice warm fireplace… it’s great!

16) Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette-

I always love these! I got this years palette for my 30th birthday… I think this year was my favorite one! I like the infinity powder a lot and the blushes and bronzer are really nice!

17) Cargo Away We Go Palette-

I think I got this palette for like $5 and it’s beautiful! I love how the shimmer shadows look and blend, the mattes are nice too. If you see a cargo palette- I’d recommend picking it up. Look at discount stores like Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, possibly Ross (I don’t live near a Ross)… there’s a lot!

18) Tarte Eyelash Curler-

I like this eyelash curler more than my Shiseido one I think! Crazy right? It’s just really nice and it just works well.

19) Em Cosmetics-

I tried a few products from Em Cosmetics this year and they’re all so so good. The one I use the most is probably the Cheek drops- which is like a cream blush they have in a round bottle. So easy to use and to blend. I also really loved the Faded Clementine eye palette… And the Liquid Lipstick felt so good on and lasted a long time. I 100% need to try more Em Cosmetics and these are great!

20) Pat McGrath Mothership Mega Celestial Odyssey Eyeshadow Palette-

I’ve heard mixed reviews on this palette… I’ve never tried a Mothership palette from Pat McGrath- I have one of her smaller palettes that I like a lot. I still really like this palette and I think the quality is good and it’s fun to break out and use! I really like it!

21) Sol de Janiero Bum Dia Bright Fragrance- I love Sol de Janiero. There’s only one product from them that I don’t love the scent of… this scent is just awesome for spring and summer. Its sweet and just smells awesome! plus it’s pink and pretty!

alright that is everything! sorry it took so long- it takes me forever to write these things… and I’ve been busy this month! Anyway- these are awesome and I feel like I already have favorites for 2022!
