13 Days of Blogoween: The Best Classic Halloween Family Movies

Alright- so I haven't reviewed any of my real favorites yet... Despite Happy Death Day now being on the list of absolute favorite Halloween/horror movies. Now I'm going to review some classics that I usually watch every Halloween. I feel like they haven't aired these as much as they usually do. Any time I'm home Free Form just has Shrek or Family Guy on or something... but now I've finally gotten a chance to watch some favorites.

Nightmare Before Christmas

Okay... so I love this movie. My Lunchbox that I take to work has Jack Skellington on it- I have a couple of Nightmare Before Christmas Loungefly Backpacks... this is just my type of movie and I love it.

I really like the music of this and I appreciate the animation. The characters are really good too. I love the relationship between Jack and Sally and how clever Sally is to stop Oogie Boogie. I thought it was good.

Ghostbusters (2016)

I wasn't really going to review this... but it is on Freeform and it was on between Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus so I'm watching it.

I think this is the most I've ever seen of the movie because I've never really seen the beginning. This is the 2016 version so it's the female one... it isn't as good as the first Ghostbusters movie- but I'd say its arguably better than Ghostbuster's 2... it is entertaining- I watch it a lot when it's on... not my favorite.

Halloweentown & Halloweentown 2: Calabar's Revenge

Okay I just caught the end of the first movie tonight- but I've seen these both recently I feel like I've seen these more on television, disney plus and I actually own the dvds. These are really fun and they're just so cozy. It is a little bit on the cheesy side... but I really like it. I'd recommend watching them again.

Hocus Pocus

This one is the best one! I didn’t actually even really sit down to watch it… can’t believe it’s taken me THIS long to even watch a little bit of it… but still- what a great movie! There are always parts that are totally 100% I can’t not pay attention to that… it’s just a really fun movie that I will watch again with really paying attention. okay… as much as I want to write a few more reviews on Addams family and Addams family values, Beetlejuice, I wanted to watch Under Wraps again but… I have a lot of things to watch and not a lot of days left for Halloween… so hopefully I’ll watch those on my own without reviewing them… but these are great movies and you should watch them!
