13 Days of Blogoween: Censor
Alright Today I have an unexpected horror gem that I would say is better than some bigger movies and that is Censor directed by Prano Bailey Bond.
So this movie is about an interesting job that not a lot of people have anymore and it’s told in a pretty interesting way. It’s about a woman that works on censoring horror movies… she’s very uptight and controlling about what should and shouldn’t go in these movies and- we do see her often get transported to be a part of the movie… and eventually we see some weird and scary things happening.
We also know that a lot of our main character’s problems were based around her missing sister- who her parents just recently got a death certificate for. Her concern about these movies is more focused on her lack of closure about her missing sister and the ending has a pretty shocking twist that was reminiscent of 2009’s The Uninvited.
I was sort of half asleep while watching this movie- but I still thought it was really fun and exciting. My boyfriend and I were impressed at the look of the film for the fairly low budget that it had.We actually thought it was better overall than Malignant… which we also both liked… but there were some problems and some silliness.
Alright that is everything! Sorry this is out later than I wanted it too… but as this movie shows… watching several horror movies in a row can take a toll on a girl (or guy or any gender). I will have a review on The Silence of The Lambs sometime later in the day or tomorrow… as I just watched that and I loved it!
Bye!
